gracie+kyle: central union, hilton – honolulu, hawaii

I’m going through a phase were I’m looking through all my archives. Here’s a wedding which I have photographed over a year ago (12/28/08). What makes this wedding so special and worth blogging was the positive energy and love that embraced all of us throughout the entire day. The day started with pouring rain but that didn’t stop the fun, go-lucky-happy person Gracie is. But after being positive and a little prayer, the weather cooperated letting the blue skies peak through the heavy clouds. As you may already know, Central Union Church is an amazing church known for it’s history and antique architecture but for their reception, (which was held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village) it was something I have never witnessed before. The decor completely blew me away! It was definitely a photographer’s playground. Thank you Gracie and Kyle for letting me be part of your special day. I am blessed to know you both and be part of your circle of friends.

Another blast from the past. It’s been almost a year and half ago when Lanovan tied the knot. It was just recently that I reconnected with Lan (Fighting Eel) at a birthday party (Sophia – Linh’s daughter) and that struck me to power up my archives and check out their wedding photos. I can easily relive their perfect day which was celebrated with family and close friends. To the Lanovans, congratulations on your anniversary but more so on your birth of your beautiful daughter, Ava Sky.

Fiya+Chris: Waialae Country Club, Oahu

A blast from the past. Every once in awhile I like to look at my past archives and reflect on my couple’s weddings. It’s been almost a year since Fiya and Chris got married at the Waialae Country Club. I can almost completely relive their beautiful day. It was a windy day and it’s started to rain 30 minutes right before the ceremony. I was a bit worried, but had faith that the skies would clear up. Magically, the weather cooperated and skies opened up letting the sun shine on this beautiful couple. Despite the rain and wind (which blew sand on my lens), the day unfolded perfectly for this awesome couple. Thank you Fiya & Chris for having me be part of your special day.

Hi Frank! Great work and totally inspired. How’d you do the post processing on the last image? I been trying to get that infrared sky look on my images but can’t achieve it.
